Alexandra Squire, an abstract contemporary painter and the owner of Alexandra Squire Fine Art. In a world that is full of busyness, her work is about simplicity. She creates simple shapes and strong palettes that are bold yet uncomplicated. She is also a normal person who followed her gut and changed her path in life. She says “I left behind my career in the media to follow something scary and far more fulfilling. I think people can identify with that. It wasn’t easy as a mom of young children to establish a brand-new career in the midst of figuring out who I was in my new role, but it was vital to my sanity and happiness. My art is another pillar of who I am.”
She believes that her achievement is that her work has been in several shows regionally and worldwide. “I have never submitted my work to juried art shows but plan to pursue this route in the near future”. Alexandra wants Alexandra Squire Fine Art to make people more comfortable and accessible to fine art. She wants people to feel less intimidated by the art world. She says “When people see my art, I want them to see something that is relatable and welcoming. The art world profits from its reputation of being exclusive. She wants her art to be inclusive.” When people hear “Alexander Squire Fine Art”, she wants them to think of something that is fun, vibrant, and has a place in every home. She aims in maintaining the “fine art” aspect of my work, but she also wants to see the importance of making it available to people for everyday display.”
Alexandra Squire further says “I want to see a serious focus on my art as being something a little off the beaten path. While I embrace techniques and inspiration that come from generations of abstract artists, I am proud that I have found a style that is unique to me. I want readers and collectors to know what my art means. I also want them to find meaning in it that is unique to them. “
